- The National Training Policy of the Government of India envisages “Training for All” and highlights following objectives of training:
- ‘ Keeping up to date and enhancing professional knowledge and skill for better performance of individuals and organizations.
- Promoting better understanding of professional requirement as well as sensitization to professional, social, economic and political environment in which work is done, and
- Bringing about right attitudinal orientation’
- The National Training Policy also identifies following concerns of training, given that social andpolitical ambience is subject to constant change and Government machinery needs to continuously adjust, accommodate andattune itself to changes.
- Responsiveness to changing democratic needs, expectations of citizens and technological developments.
- Commitment to democratic values, concept of partnership and participative decision-making.
- Awareness to technological, economic and social developments.
- Infusion of scientific temper.
- Accountability for high performance in professional field and cost effective methods of delivery.
- All the above objectives/concerns shall be inbuilt in the framework of training for all employees of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) and its Local/Autonomous Bodies.
